We are a non-profit organization registered in Tanzania under the provisions of the Trustees’ Incorporation Act (CAP. 318 R.E. 2002). 

Shintama Foundation (SF) strives to empower members of community to come up with practical and sustainable solutions to their various socio-economic problems. We help communities fighting diseases, poverty and ignorance and conserve environment for a better tomorrow.

Get Involved In Our Programes

Voluntary Counseling and Testing (VCT)

SF provides counseling services to clients and refers them to other institutions for testing.

Home Based Care (HBC)

We make regular visits to bedridden patients and give counseling services to both patients and relatives who care for them.

Support Group for People Living with HIV/AIDS

In order to support people living with HIV/AIDS, SF organizes Support Groups which are opportunities for people living with HIV/AIDS to share experiences and learn to live positively with HIV/AIDS.

Family Life Education

Using real life experiences of its founders and supporters, SF provides pre and post marital counseling and
support to couples intending to marry and/ or with marital crisis.

Early Childhood Education (St. Jude Day-Care Center)

St. Jude Day Care Center, one of the SF learning facilities, provides affordable and reliable early childhood education to families around Mbagala Sabasaba and the surrounding communities.

Life Skills Training

Another arm of SF, namely Shintama Tailoring Mart provides tailoring lessons and training to young adults who
have not had the opportunities to continue with higher education for various real life crises.

HIV/ AIDS Awareness

Community outreach educational programs which are meant to prevent/ reduce new infections, improve quality of life for HIV positive individuals and reduce stigma and discrimination.
